اطاق شب میں سحر کے چراغ روشن کر
قبائے دل ہی نہیں دل کے داغ روشن کر
کسی طریق سے تازہ ہوا گرفت میں لا
کسی سبیل سے اپنا دماغ روشن کر
مشام جاں میں بسا خیر و امن کی خوشبو
پھر اس مہک سے محبت کے باغ روشن کر
چھڑک کے خون رگ دل حقیر ذروں پر
سواد منزل جاں کے سراغ روشن کر
صلیب اٹھا کے کبھی کوچۂ ستم میں بھی چل
جنوں کی لو سے بھی دشت چراغ روشن کر
رہ حیات میں وہم و گماں کے سائے ہیں
نظر میں عزم و یقیں کے ایاغ روشن کر
کبھی تقدس انسان کے تو گیت بھی گا
کبھی تو دل میں محبت کی آگ روشن کر
