اب خانماں خراب کی منزل یہاں نہیں

کہنے کو آشیاں ہے مگر آشیاں نہیں

عشق ستم نواز کی دنیا بدل گئی

حسن وفا شناس بھی کچھ بدگماں نہیں

میرے صنم کدے میں کئی اور بت بھی ہیں

اک میری زندگی کے تمہیں راز داں نہیں

تم سے بچھڑ کے مجھ کو سہارا تو مل گیا

یہ اور بات ہے کہ میں کچھ شادماں نہیں

اپنے حسین خواب کی تعبیر خود کرے

اتنا تو معتبر یہ دل ناتواں نہیں

زلف دراز قصۂ غم میں الجھ نہ جائے

اندیشہ ہائے عشق کہاں ہیں کہاں نہیں

ہر ہر قدم پہ کتنے ستارے بکھر گئے

لیکن رہ حیات ابھی کہکشاں نہیں

سیلاب زندگی کے سہارے بڑھے چلو

ساحل پہ رہنے والوں کا نام و نشاں نہیں
