اور کوئی جو سنے خون کے آنسو روئے

اچھی لگتی ہیں مگر ہم کو تمہاری باتیں

ہم ملیں یا نہ ملیں پھر بھی کبھی خوابوں میں

مسکراتی ہوئی آئیں گی ہماری باتیں

ہائے اب جن پہ مسرت کا گماں ہوتا ہے

اشک بن جائیں گی اک روز یہ پیاری باتیں

یاد جب کوئی دلائے گا سر شام تمہیں

جگمگا اٹھیں گی تاروں میں ہماری باتیں

ان کو مغرور بنایا ہے بڑی مشکل سے

آئینہ بن کے رہیں کاش ہماری باتیں

ملتے ملتے یوں ہی بیگانے سے ہو جائیں گے

دیکھتے دیکھتے کھو جائیں گی ساری باتیں

وہ بہت سوچیں تڑپ اٹھیں مگر اے باقرؔ

یاد آئیں تو نہ آئیں یہ تمہاری باتیں
