قضا نے حال گل جب صفحۂ تقدیر پر لکھا

مری دیوانگی کا ماجرا زنجیر پر لکھا

ضعیفی سے نہیں پیروں کے چیں پیشانی و رو پر

یہ خط ناامیدی ہے کہ روے پیر پر لکھا

نہیں تجھ سے ہمیں دعوئ خوں گر شمع نے قاتل

اب اپنے خوں کا محضر گردن گلگیر پر لکھا

یہ سب مضموں ہے شیریں کوہ کن کی رو سپیدی کا

جہاں تک موج نے سطروں کو جوئے شیر پر لکھا

بقاؔ کے دل میں آ آئینہ تیری قدر کیا جانے

عبث ہے نقش گل گر بلبل تصویر پر لکھا
