زخم تو زخم ہے کچھ دیر میں بھر جائے گا
لفظ نشتر ہے رگ جاں میں اتر جائے گا
تیری رحمت کا یہ دریا وہ مسافر ہے کہ جو
میری بستی سے دبے پاؤں گزر جائے گا
رنگ کچا ہے ترے شہر وفا کا جاناں
غم کی اک لہر چلے گی تو اتر جائے گا
آ تیری مانگ میں اس شام کی سرخی بھر دوں
اس کی تزئین سے یہ حسن نکھر جائے گا
اس قدر موت کے ساماں کا ہے انبار لگا
کل کا انسان جو دیکھے گا تو ڈر جائے گا
ظلم کی دھوپ میں نفرت تو پنپ سکتی ہے
پیار تو پھول ہے اس دھوپ میں مر جائے گا
پہلے برباد تو کر لے یہ زمیں کا چہرہ
پھر یہ انسان کسی اور نگر جائے گا
