تم ترس نہیں کھاتے بستیاں جلانے میں

اور جام ٹوٹیں گے اس شراب خانے میں

موسموں کے آنے میں موسموں کے جانے میں

ہر دھڑکتے پتھر کو لوگ دل سمجھتے ہیں

عمریں بیت جاتی ہیں دل کو دل بنانے میں

فاختہ کی مجبوری یہ بھی کہہ نہیں سکتی

کون سانپ رکھتا ہے اس کے آشیانے میں

دوسری کوئی لڑکی زندگی میں آئے گی

کتنی دیر لگتی ہے اس کو بھول جانے میں
