سو خلوص باتوں میں سب کرم خیالوں میں

بس ذرا وفا کم ہے تیرے شہر والوں میں

پہلی بار نظروں نے چاند بولتے دیکھا

ہم جواب کیا دیتے کھو گئے سوالوں میں

رات تیری یادوں نے دل کو اس طرح چھیڑا

جیسے کوئی چٹکی لے نرم نرم گالوں میں

یوں کسی کی آنکھوں میں صبح تک ابھی تھے ہم

جس طرح رہے شبنم پھول کے پیالوں میں

میری آنکھ کے تارے اب نہ دیکھ پاؤ گے

رات کے مسافر تھے کھو گئے اجالوں میں

جیسے آدھی شب کے بعد چاند نیند میں چونکے

وہ گلاب کی جنبش ان سیاہ بالوں میں
