اداس آنکھوں سے آنسو نہیں نکلتے ہیں

اداس آنکھوں سے آنسو نہیں نکلتے ہیں

یہ موتیوں کی طرح سیپیوں میں پلتے ہیں

گھنے دھوئیں میں فرشتے بھی آنکھ ملتے ہیں

تمام رات کھجوروں کے پیڑ جلتے ہیں

میں شاہراہ نہیں راستے کا پتھر ہوں

یہاں سوار بھی پیدل اتر کے چلتے ہیں

انہیں کبھی نہ بتانا میں ان کی آنکھوں میں

وہ لوگ پھول سمجھ کر مجھے مسلتے ہیں

کئی ستاروں کو میں جانتا ہوں بچپن سے

کہیں بھی جاؤں مرے ساتھ ساتھ چلتے ہیں

یہ ایک پیڑ ہے آ اس سے مل کے رو لیں ہم

یہاں سے تیرے مرے راستے بدلتے ہیں
