دل لیا جان لی نہیں جاتی

بیدم شاہ وارثی

دل لیا جان لی نہیں جاتی

آپ کی دل لگی نہیں جاتی

سب نے غربت میں مجھ کو چھوڑ دیا

اک مری بیکسی نہیں جاتی

کیے کہہ دوں کہ غیر سے ملئے

ان کہی تو کہی نہیں جاتی

خود کہانی فراق کی چھیڑی

خود کہا بس سنی نہیں جاتی

خشک دکھلاتی ہے زباں تلوار

کیوں مرا خون پی نہیں جاتی

لاکھوں ارمان دینے والوں سے

ایک تسکین دی نہیں جاتی

جان جاتی ہے میری جانے دو

بات تو آپ کی نہیں جاتی

تم کہو گے جو روؤں فرقت میں

کہ مصیبت سہی نہیں جاتی

اس کے ہوتے خودی سے پاک ہوں میں

خوب ہے بے خودی نہیں جاتی

پی تھی بیدمؔ ازل میں کیسی شراب

آج تک بے خودی نہیں جاتی
