حوصلہ چاہیے آواز اٹھانے کے لیے

دین انساں کی بھلائی کے لیے آیا تھا

رہ گیا اب یہ فقط کھانے کمانے کے لیے

پیار کو بھولنا آسان نہیں ہے صاحب

مدتیں لگتی ہیں اک شخص بھلانے کے لیے

روز دو روز کا قصہ نہ سمجھیے اس کو

عشق تو ہوتا ہے اک عمر رلانے کے لیے

موت کے بعد مری رازؔ پڑھے جائیں گے

میرے اشعار مری یاد دلانے کے لیے

hausla chahiye aawaz uThane ke liye

din insan ki bhalai ke liye aaya tha
rah gaya ab ye faqat khane-kamane ke liye

pyar ko bhulna aasan nahin hai sahab
muddaten lagti hain ek shaKHs bhulane ke liye

roz-do-roz ka qissa na samajhiye is ko
ishq to hota hai ek umr rulane ke liye
