دل کی زباں سے اس کو صدا دینا چاہیے

بیٹھے گلا تو ایسے بلا لینا چاہیے

نظریں چرا بچا کے اٹھا لینا چاہیے

اوروں کے درد کا بھی مزا لینا چاہیے

بستر پہ آسمان کے ٹھٹھرے ہے چندر ما

بادل ادھر ادھر سے دبا لینا چاہیے

کاندھے سمے کے بوجھ سے شل ہو گئے تو کیا

یہ بوجھ مسکرا کے اٹھا لینا چاہیے

کچھ گمرہی تمہیں پہ نہیں فرض رہروو

منزل کو بھی تو راہ میں آ لینا چاہیے

ایسے بزرگ بخت رہا جن کا نارسا

ایسوں سے زندگی کی دعا لینا چاہیے

آئنہ تک تو الٹی کہے ہے اگر فریب

کھانا ہو کوئی دوست بنا لینا چاہیے

ان کو پرائے اشکؔ لگیں ہیں اگر عزیز

غیروں میں اپنا نام لکھا لینا چاہیے
