جب چودھویں کا چاند نکلتا دکھائی دے

وہ گیروا لباس بدلتا دکھائی دے

دریائے زندگی کہ نگاہوں کا ہے قصور

ٹھہرا دکھائی دے کبھی چلتا دکھائی دے

پڑنے لگے جو زور ہوس کا تو کیا نگاہ

ہر زاویے سے جسم نکلتا دکھائی دے

بہروپئے کے ہاتھ پڑے ہیں سو رات دن

دن رات رنگ روپ بدلتا دکھائی دے

رکھے ہے یوں تو پاؤں سنبھل سوچ کر مگر

نظروں کا فرش ہے کہ پھسلتا دکھائی دے

اس نام میں وہ شعلہ گری ہے جو لیجیے

ہر روم میں چراغ سا چلتا دکھائی دے

میں اشکؔ شکل نام سے واقف نہیں مگر

اک شخص ہے جو ساتھ ہی چلتا دکھائی دے
