وہ روپ ہے کہ اسے دیکھیے تو جی نہ کرے

جو درد دل میں اٹھے آہ کھینچنے سے ڈرے

وہ آئنہ ہے کہ موج ہوا شکست کرے

کھلیں گی راہ میں اس رات برف کی کلیاں

گھروں میں گھومتے پھرتے ہیں بادلوں کے پرے

ہوا ادھر کی چلی بھی تو درد مر نہ گیا

یہی ہوا ہے کہ کچھ زخم ہو چلے ہیں مرے

یہ جنگلی یہ کٹیلی یہ باوری آنکھیں

کہ جن سے آنکھ ملاتے ہوئے ہرن بھی ڈرے

خموش ہو بھی تو کیسے وہ بولتا ہوا جسم

جو ہونٹ ہونٹ سے چپکے تو آنکھ بات کرے

وفا بنے نہ اگر اشکؔ راہ کا پتھر

ہزار جسم بھرے شہر میں بنے سنورے
