کھا لو پی لو اشکؔ نہ جانے کس پل دھوپ ڈھلے میلے میں

کس پل تارا چھٹکے کس پل سورج ڈوب چلے میلے میں

نتھرے ستھرے کپڑے پہنے ہنس مکھ لوگ چلے میلے میں

روئیں گے پیوند لگے جب بڑ کے پیڑ تلے میلے میں

گل ہوں غبارے ہوں کپڑے ہوں سب کا رنگ اتر جاتا ہے

میری مان بھلا جو چاہے کوئی چیز نہ لے میلے میں

آگے پیچھے اوپر نیچے سات ہنڈولے گھوم رہے ہیں

گھبرائیں کیا جب تک ان کا کاروبار چلے میلے میں

اے ہرجائی اس میلے میں اپنا ملنا کون کٹھن تھا

ہر صورت ایک ایسی کس سے ملتا کون گلے میلے میں

کیا جانے کب گھر پہنچیں گے میلہ ہے یا بھول بھلیاں

پل چھن پل چھن کرتے کرتے یگ ہی بیت چلے میلے میں

ان کا تصور جھوٹے وعدے یاد کا سایہ دل کی بستی

ایک سپیرا نٹ کھٹ بچے بڑ کے پیڑ تلے میلے میں

جی ہاں اشکؔ وہی ہیں لیکن آج ہیں یوں کچھ کھوئے کھوئے

جیسے کوئی گھر کو جاتے سب کچھ چھوڑ چلے میلے میں
