خاموشی کی قِرأت کرنے والے لوگ
ابُّو جی اُور سارے مرنے والے لوگ
روشنیوں کے دھبّے’ اُن کے بیچ خلا
اَور خلاؤں سے ہم ڈرنے والے لوگ
مٹّی کے کوزے اور اُن میں سانس کی لَو
رب رکّھے’ یہ برتن بھرنے والے لوگ
میرے چاروں جانِب اونچی اونچی گھاس
میرے چاروں جانب چَرنے والے لوگ
آخر جسم بھی دیواروں کو سونپ گئے
دروازوں میں آنکھیں دھرنے والے لوگ
