دل کوں دل دار کے نیاز کرے

داؤد اورنگ آبادی

دل کوں دل دار کے نیاز کرے

تن کوں آرام و سکھ سوں باز کرے

ہوے تب راگ عشق سوں آگاہ

رگ جاں جب کہ تار ساز کرے

اس سخن کا عجب ہے افسانہ

جو سنے اس کوں اہل راز کرے

صید کرنے کے تئیں کبوتر عشق

طائر دل مثال باز کرے

حرف حق پر اگر ہے دل ثابت

مثل منصور سر نیاز کرے

عاشقاں کوں نیاز ہے لازم

نازنیں گر ادا سوں ناز کرے

شعلۂ عشق اس پہ ہوئے روشن

شمع ساں دل کوں جو گداز کرے

پہنچنے علم کوں حقیقت کے

سیر از نسخۂ مجاز کرے

کوئی اس سرو قد کوں جا بولو

درس دکھلا کے سرفراز کرے

کھول کر زلف عنبریں یک بار

رشتۂ شوق کوں دراز کرے

جو پڑھے تیرے شعر کوں داؤدؔ

آخرش دل کوں عشق باز کرے
