آج بھڑکی رگ وحشت ترے دیوانوں کی

قسمتیں جاگنے والی ہیں بیابانوں کی

پھر گھٹاؤں میں ہے نقارۂ وحشت کی صدا

ٹولیاں بندھ کے چلیں دشت کو دیوانوں کی

آج کیا سوجھ رہی ہے ترے دیوانوں کو

دھجیاں ڈھونڈھتے پھرتے ہیں گریبانوں کی

روح مجنوں ابھی بیتاب ہے صحراؤں میں

خاک بے وجہ نہیں اڑتی بیابانوں کی

اس نے احسانؔ کچھ اس ناز سے مڑ کر دیکھا

دل میں تصویر اتر آئی پری خانوں کی
