حاشیے پر لکھی گئی نظم

مجھے رنگوں سے محبت تھی

زندگی کے کینوس پر

میں نئے نقش و نگار بنانا چاہتا تھا

حسن کی حشر سامانیاں پینٹ کرنے کی خواہش

میرے لہو میں سرسراتی تھی

الھڑ جسموں کے زاویے

میرے مو قلم کو اپنی جانب کھینچتے تھے

آنکھوں کی گہرائیوں میں بہتے ہوئے خط

مجھے بیتاب کرتے تھے

محبت کی نظموں کی تخلیق پر

مجھے مصور بنانے پر تلے ہوئے تھے

ہنستے ہوئے رخساروں میں بنتے ہوئے ڈمپل

مگر

میں مجبور کر دیا گیا

جلتے ہوئے شہر کی تصویر کاری پر

مسخ شدہ چہروں کی شناخت کے لیے

پھولوں اور بچوں کے نوحے لکھنے پر

قدیم لفظوں کو نئی معنویت دینے کے لئے

مجھے ایک زندگی دان کرنا پڑی

mujhe rangon se mohabbat thi
zindagi ke canwas par
main nae naqsh-o-nigar banana chahta tha
husn ki hashr-samaniyan painT karne ki KHwahish
mere lahu mein sarsaraati thi
alhaD jismon ke zawiye
mere mu-qalam ko apni jaanib khinchte the
aankhon ki gahraiyon mein bahte hue KHat
mujhe betab karte the
mohabbat ki nazmon ki taKHliq par
mujhe musawwir banane par tule hue the
hanste hue ruKHsaron mein bante hue Dimple
magar
main majbur kar diya gaya
jalte hue shahr ki taswir-kari par
masKH-shuda chehron ki shanaKHt ke liye
phulon aur bachchon ke nauhe likhne par
qadim lafzon ko nai manawiyyat dene ke liye
mujhe ek zindagi dan karna paDi
