یہاں وابستگی واں برہمی کیا جانیے کیوں ہے

نہ ہم اپنی نظر سمجھے نہ ہم ان کی ادا سمجھے

فریب آرزو کی سہل انگاری نہیں جاتی

ہم اپنے دل کی دھڑکن کو تری آواز پا سمجھے

تمہاری ہر نظر سے منسلک ہے رشتۂ ہستی

مگر یہ دور کی باتیں کوئی نادان کیا سمجھے

نہ پوچھو عہد الفت کی بس اک خواب پریشاں تھا

نہ دل کو راہ پر لائے نہ دل کا مدعا سمجھے
