سجن مجھ پر بہت نا مہرباں ہے

کہاں وہ عاشقاں کا قدر داں ہے

کہوں احوال دل کا اس کو کیونکر

بہت نازک مزاج و بد زباں ہے

مرا دل بند ہے اس نازنیں پر

عجب اس خوش لقا میں ایک آں ہے

بھواں شمشیر ہیں و زلف پھانسی

ہر اک پلک اس کی مانند سناں ہے

خدا اس کو رکھے دنیا میں محفوظ

نہال آرزو آرام جاں ہے

چندر بے وقر ہے اس بدر آگے

صفا اس مکھ کی ہر اک پر عیاں ہے

سمجھتا ہے ترے اشعار فائزؔ

خدا کے فضل سوں وہ نکتہ داں ہے
