آنکھیں بجھ جائیں گی شعلہ رہ جائے گا

آنکھیں بجھ جائیں گی شعلہ رہ جائے گا

یعنی جو دیکھا تھا دیکھا رہ جائے گا

اگلی ساعت شعر پورا کر پائے گی

یا یہ مصرعہ میرے جیسا رہ جائے گا

تیرا بوسہ ایسا پیالہ ہے جس میں سے

پانی پینے والا پیاسا رہ جائے گا

دونوں میں سے اس پہ دل کو رکنا ہوگا

لمحوں میں سے جو زیادہ رہ جائے گا

میری آہٹ سن لے جو تو سن سکتا ہے

پھر یہ آنا جانا نغمہ رہ جائے گا

رنگ آخر اڑتے جائیں گے یادوں کے

دل میں باقی ہے جو خاکہ رہ جائے گا

لڑکیاں دو اٹھ نہ پائیں گی لیٹی تو

حسن اپنا حسن چنتا رہ جائے گا
