اک فسانہ سن گئے اک کہہ گئے

فانی بدایونی

اک فسانہ سن گئے اک کہہ گئے

میں جو رویا مسکرا کر رہ گئے

یا ترے محتاج ہیں اے خون دل

یا انہیں آنکھوں سے دریا بہہ گئے

موت ان کا منہ ہی تکتی رہ گئی

جو تری فرقت کے صدمے سہ گئے

تو سلامت ہے تو ہم اے درد دل

مر ہی جائیں گے جو جیتے رہ گئے

پھر کسی کی یاد نے تڑپا دیا

پھر کلیجہ تھام کر ہم رہ گئے

اٹھ گئے دنیا سے فانیؔ اہل ذوق

ایک ہم مرنے کو زندہ رہ گئے
