فانی بدایونی

قطرہ دریائے آشنائی ہے

کیا تری شان کبریائی ہے

تیری مرضی جو دیکھ پائی ہے

خلش درد کی بن آئی ہے

وہم کو بھی ترا نشاں نہ ملا

نارسائی سی نارسائی ہے

کون دل ہے جو دردمند نہیں

کیا ترے درد کی خدائی ہے

جلوۂ یار کا بھکاری ہوں

شش جہت کاسۂ گدائی ہے

موت آتی ہے تم نہ آؤگے

تم نہ آئے تو موت آئی ہے

بچھ گئے راہ یار میں کانٹے

کس کو عذر برہنہ پائی ہے

ترک امید بس کی بات نہیں

ورنہ امید کب بر آئی ہے

مژدۂ جنت وصال ہے موت

زندگی محشر جدائی ہے

آرزو پھر ہے در پئے تدبیر

سعی ناکام کی دہائی ہے

موت ہی ساتھ دے تو دے فانیؔ

عمر کو عذر بے وفائی ہے

فانی بدایونی
