ابھی نہیں کہ ابھی محض استعارہ بنا

تو یار دست حقیقت مجھے دوبارہ بنا

کہ بہہ نہ جاؤں میں دریا کی رسم اجرا میں

قیام دے مری مٹی مجھے کنارہ بنا

ہم اپنا عکس تو چھوڑ آئے تھے پر اس کے بعد

خبر نہیں کہ ان آنکھوں میں کیا ہمارا بنا

مجھے جو بننا ہے بن جاؤں گا خود اپنے آپ

بنانے والے مجھے خوب پارہ پارہ بنا

ہجوم شہر کہ جس کی ملازمت میں ہوں میں

مرے لیے مری تنہائی کا ادارہ بنا

اسی لیے تو منافع میں ہے ہوس کا کام

کہ عشق میرے لیے باعث خسارہ بنا

شکاریوں کو کھلا چھوڑ دشت معنی میں

تو اپنے لفظ کو احساسؔ محض اشارہ بنا
