گھر بنانے میں تمام اہل سفر لگ گئے ہیں

کیا تماشے یہ سر راہ گزر لگ گئے ہیں

توڑ کر بند قبا جسم اڑا جاتا ہے

کیسے اس خاک کی دیوار کو پر لگ گئے ہیں

صرف اک تجھ سے بچھڑنے کا نہیں خوف ہمیں

ساتھ میں اب کے کئی اور بھی ڈر لگ گئے ہیں

سبزۂ منتظر اس درجہ نمو کو پہنچا

دیکھ ہم در پہ ترے مثل شجر لگ گئے ہیں

جشن گریہ تو کیا تھا مری آنکھوں نے شروع

ساتھ اب شہر کے سب دیدۂ تر لگ گئے ہیں

کیسی افواہ اڑی تجھ سے مرے رشتے کی

سب ترے چاہنے والے مرے گھر لگ گئے ہیں

حسن تو ہے ہی نئی طرح سے آتش انگیز

آئنے کو بھی نئے برق و شرر لگ گئے ہیں

کارخانہ ہے اسی حسن کا عالم سارا

بس جدھر اس نے لگایا ہے ادھر لگ گئے ہیں

جس کی پاداش میں ہے در بہ دری کا یہ عتاب

پھر اسی کام پہ ہم شہر بدر لگ گئے ہیں

فرحتؔ احساس میں کیا دیکھا جو اس کے پیچھے

آنکھیں دکھلاتے ہوئے اہل نظر لگ گئے ہیں
