ہر گلی کوچے میں رونے کی صدا میری ہے

شہر میں جو بھی ہوا ہے وہ خطا میری ہے

یہ جو ہے خاک کا اک ڈھیر بدن ہے میرا

وہ جو اڑتی ہوئی پھرتی ہے قبا میری ہے

وہ جو اک شور سا برپا ہے عمل ہے میرا

یہ جو تنہائی برستی ہے سزا میری ہے

میں نہ چاہوں تو نہ کھل پائے کہیں ایک بھی پھول

باغ تیرا ہے مگر باد صبا میری ہے

ایک ٹوٹی ہوئی کشتی سا بنا بیٹھا ہوں

نہ یہ مٹی نہ یہ پانی نہ ہوا میری ہے
