ہوئی اک خواب سے شادی مری تنہائی کی

پہلی بیٹی ہے اداسی مری تنہائی کی

ابھی معلوم نہیں کتنے ہیں ذاتی اسباب

کتنی وجہیں ہیں سماجی مری تنہائی کی

جا کے دیکھا تو کھلا رونق بازار کا راز

ایک اک چیز بنی تھی مری تنہائی کی

شہر در شہر جو یہ انجمنیں ہیں آباد

تربیت گاہیں ہیں ساری مری تنہائی کی

صرف آئینۂ آغوش محبت میں ملی

ایک تنہائی جوابی مری تنہائی کی

صاف ہے چہرۂ قاتل مری آنکھوں میں مگر

معتبر کب ہے گواہی مری تنہائی کی

حاصل وصل صفر ہجر کا حاصل بھی صفر

جانے کیسی ہے ریاضی مری تنہائی کی

کسی حالت میں بھی تنہا نہیں ہونے دیتی

ہے یہی ایک خرابی مری تنہائی کی

میں جو یوں پھرتا ہوں مے خانوں میں بت خانوں میں

ہے یہی روزہ نمازی مری تنہائی کی

فرحتؔ احساس وہ ہم زاد ہے میرا جس نے

شہر میں دھوم مچا دی مری تنہائی کی
