ہم نے پرند وصل کے پر کاٹ ڈالے ہیں

جذبات اٹھا رہے تھے جو سر کاٹ ڈالے ہیں

لکھنی تھی ہم کو ایک نئی داستان ہجر

سب واقعات دیدۂ تر کاٹ ڈالے ہیں

بیٹھی رہے اسی قفس عنصری میں اب

تیغ بدن نے روح کے پر کاٹ ڈالے ہیں

اب شعر زور بے ہنری سے لکھیں گے ہم

دنیا نے سارے دست ہنر کاٹ ڈالے ہیں

جی چاہتا ہے دست ترقی کو کاٹ دوں

جس نے ہمارے سارے شجر کاٹ ڈالے ہیں

نقاد خشک ذوق کے گھر ہو رہا ہے جشن

آج اس نے سارے مصرعۂ تر کاٹ ڈالے ہیں

شمعیں مکاشفات بدن کی جلانی تھیں

سب معرفت کے تار نظر کاٹ ڈالے ہیں
