فرحت ندیم ہمایوں

ہے وہی ایک میرے سوا اور میں

دونوں تنہا ہیں میرا خدا اور میں

ہے خلاصہ مری زندگی کا یہی

تیرگی ختم کرنے کی امید پر

رات بھر ہی جلا اک دیا اور میں

کون جیتے گا اس جنگ میں دیکھیے

ہو گئے ہیں مقابل ہوا اور میں

آئی برکھا کی رت میرے دکھ بانٹنے

روئے پھر ساتھ مل کر گھٹا اور میں

اک طرف وہ ہے اور اس کے سارے ستم

اک طرف صبر کی انتہا اور میں

کیوں سزا پھر ملے گی کسی اور کو

ہیں گنہ گار میری انا اور میں

تشنگی کی علامات کے طور پر

دو ہی نام آئیں گے کربلا اور میں
