کہیں پہ آنکھ نہیں اور کہیں اِشارا نہیں

یہ زندگی ہے یہاں کوئی شے دوبارہ نہیں

بہت دنوں یہ کہانی فریب دیتی رہی

بہت دنوں میں کھُلا ہے کہ وہ ہمارا نہیں

میں اپنے خواب زمانے کو دے تو دوں لیکن

ادھار جس نے لیا آج تک اتارا نہیں

میں اِک خیال کے اندر خیال تھی کوئی

بدن مزاج تھا اُس نے مجھے پکارا نہیں

میں اُس کو روز دعائوں کے پنکھ دیتی ہوں

وہ حوصلوں کا مسافر کبھی جو ہارا نہیں

وہ بادشاہ سخن ہے تو اپنے گھر ہو گا

خیال وخواب پہ اُسکا کوئی اِجارا نہیں

سپَولئیے بھی چُھپے ہیں سُخن سرائوں میں

پر اُن کے زہر نے اب تک تو ہم کو مارا نہیں
