پچھلے کسی سفر کا ستارہ نہ ڈھونڈ لے
پھر سے کہیں وہ ساتھ ہمارا نہ ڈھونڈ لے
جس کو کہ ڈھونڈھتی ہیں سمندر کی وسعتیں
دیکھو کہیں وہ شخص کنارہ نہ ڈھونڈ لے
منزل ہے اس کے نام بس اتنا رہے خیال
رستے میں نقش پا وہ ہمارا نہ ڈھونڈ لے
مانی تھی ایک بار جو دل نے خرد کی بات
ویسا یہ اعتدال دوبارہ نہ ڈھونڈ لے
ہوتا نہیں کسی سے حق اس کا ادا فروغؔ
کیوں زندگی اجل کا سہارا نہ ڈھونڈ لے
