سارے الزام بھول جاتا ہوں

میں تو دشنام بھول جاتا ہوں

روز میں پوچھتا ہوں تیرا نام

روز میں نام بھول جاتا ہوں

دیکھتا ہوں بکھرتے پھولوں کو

اپنا انجام بھول جاتا ہوں

ایسا چسکا لگا ہے باتوں کا

گھر کا ہر کام بھول جاتا ہوں

یاد کرتا ہوں اس کو سارا دن

اور سر شام بھول جاتا ہوں

ایسا مصروف کر لیا خود کو

اکثر آرام بھول جاتا ہوں

خوش تجھے دیکھ کر میں اپنے بھی

غم و آلام بھول جاتا ہوں

وہ گلی تجھ پہ بند ہے لیکن

دل ناکام بھول جاتا ہوں

دیکھتا ہوں تجھے قریب سے آ

میں ترا نام بھول جاتا ہوں

کیوں ستم اس کے بارہا فاروقؔ

گام در گام بھول جاتا ہوں

dekhta hun bikharte phulon ko
apna anjam bhul jata hun

aisa chaska laga hai baaton ka
ghar ka har kaam bhul jata hun

yaad karta hun us ko sara din
aur sar-e-sham bhul jata hun

aisa masruf kar liya KHud ko
aksar aaram bhul jata hun

KHush tujhe dekh kar main apne bhi
gham-o-alam bhul jata hun

wo gali tujh pe band hai lekin
dil-e-nakaam bhul jata hun

dekhta hun tujhe qarib se aa
main tera nam bhul jata hun

kyun sitam us ke barha 'faruq'
gam-dar-gam bhul jata hun
