وہ الگ چپ ہے خود سے شرما کر

کیا کیا میں نے ہاتھ پھیلا کر

پھل ہر اک ڈال پر نہیں ہوتے

سنگ ہر ڈال پر نہ پھینکا کر

تازہ رکھنے کی کوئی صورت سوچ

سوکھے لب پر زباں نہ پھیرا کر

دشت سورج میں کیا ملا ہم کو

رہ گیا رنگ اپنا سنولا کر

مٹ نہ جائے کہیں وجود ترا

خود کو فرصت میں چھو کے دیکھا کر

آئنا ہو چلا ہے سورج اب

ہے یہی وقت سب کو اندھا کر

ایک ہوں دو کنارے دریا کے

کوئی ایسی سبیل پیدا کر

کیسے دروازے پر قدم رکھوں

کوئی لیٹا ہے پاؤں پھیلا کر

صورتیں ذہن سے نہ مٹ جائیں

بھولے بھٹکے ادھر بھی نکلا کر

سرسری طور پر جو بات ہوئی

اس نے پوچھا اسی کو دہرا کر

ٹھہرے پانی میں پھینک کر پتھر

اپنے سائے کو تو نہ رسوا کر
