سو حیرتوں کے لیے مسئلہ بنا ہوا ہوں

پہنچ تو سکتا تھا منزل پہ میں مگر اے دوست

میں دوسروں کے لیے راستہ بنا ہوا ہوں

میں جب چلا تھا تو اپنے بھی مجھ کو چھوڑ گئے

اور آج دیکھ لو میں قافلہ بنا ہوا ہوں

ستم تو یہ ہے کہ ہے میری داستاں اور میں

شریک متن نہیں حاشیہ بنا ہوا ہوں

کبھی تھا قیس کبھی میرؔ اور اب فرتاشؔ

سلوک عشق کا اک سلسلہ بنا ہوا ہوں
