ملنے کا بھی آخر کوئی امکان بناتے

مشکل تھی اگر کوئی تو آسان بناتے

رکھتے کہیں کھڑکی کہیں گلدان بناتے

دیوار جہاں ہے وہاں دالان بناتے

تھوڑی ہے بہت ایک مسافت کو یہ دنیا

کچھ اور سفر کا سر و سامان بناتے

کرتے کہیں احساس کے پھولوں کی نمائش

خوابوں سے نکلتے کوئی وجدان بناتے

تصویر بناتے جو ہم اس شوخ ادا کی

لازم تھا کہ مسکان ہی مسکان بناتے

اس جسم کو کچھ اور سمیٹا ہوا رکھتے

زلفوں کو ذرا اور پریشان بناتے

کچھ دن کے لئے کام سے فرصت ہمیں ملتی

کچھ دن کے لئے خود کو بھی مہمان بناتے

دو جسم کبھی ایک بدن ہو نہیں سکتے

ملتی جو کوئی روح تو یک جان بناتے
