مرے حالات جب اچھے نہیں تھے
یہ سب اپنے مرے اپنے نہیں تھے
ہمارے واسطے ان دوستوں کے
دلوں کے در کبھی کھلتے نہیں تھے
ہمیں کچھ دوست ایسے بھی ملے ہیں
ہمارے حال پر ہنستے نہیں تھے
غزل گو تھے بہت فیروزؔ اچھے
مگر سب کے لئے کہتے نہیں تھے
