آتش فشاں زباں ہی نہیں تھی بدن بھی تھا

دریا جو منجمد ہے کبھی موجزن بھی تھا

میں اپنی خواہشوں سے وفادار تھا سو ہوں

غم ورنہ دل خراش بھی خواہش شکن بھی تھا

کالے خموش پانی کو احساس تک نہیں

چہرے پہ مرنے والے کے اک بانکپن بھی تھا

کس طرح مہر و ماہ کو کرتے الگ فضیلؔ

شعلہ نفس جو تھا وہی گل پیرہن بھی تھا
