کہ اس سے پہلے خزاں کا شکار ہو جاؤں

سجا لوں خود کو مکمل بہار ہو جاؤں

اتارنے کو پہاڑوں سے دھوپ گھاٹی میں

میں کوئی چیڑ کوئی دیودار ہو جاؤں

نہیں ہوں تجھ سے میں وابستہ اے جہاں لیکن

یہ سوچتا ہوں کہ اب ہوشیار ہو جاؤں

نہ بھائے لوگ یہاں کے نہ شہر ہی یہ مجھے

مگر میں خود سے ہی کیسے فرار ہو جاؤں

بھلے ہوں طیش میں لہریں مگر کسے پرواہ

میں کود جاؤں تو دریا کے پار ہو جاؤں

کوئی جواب تو سورج کے ظلم کا بھی ہو

میں بارشوں کی جو ٹھنڈی پھوار ہو جاؤں
