گیتانجلی گیت

آج کے دن جو اپنے

ڈر کا اظہار کیا تو

کہ میں تو اپنا لوں اسے

موت نے انکار کیا تو

وہ کچی سی عمر

وہ پکا سا حادثہ

اک کانچ کا محل

آج سنگسار کیا تو

اک روپ باہر

اک ہے پیچھے اور

اک ان کے بیچ میں نے

غلط سے پیار کیا تو

دل پر رکھ پتھر

یا ہو پتھر دل

ہو بہ ہو ان کی طرح

ان پے وار کیا تو

کہ رکتی ہیں سانسیں

لو روک دی گئیں

پھر بھی سوچا جائے

تیرا انتظار کیا تو

aaj ke din jo apne
Dar ka izhaar kiya to
ki main to apna lun use
maut ne inkar kiya to

wo kachchi si umr
wo pakka sa hadisa
ek kanch ka mahal
aaj sangsar kiya to

ek rup bahar
ek hai pichhe aur
ek un ke beach main ne
ghalat se pyar kiya to

dil par rakh patthar
ya ho patthar dil
hu-ba-hu un ki tarah
un pai war kiya to

ki rukti hain sansen
lo rok di gain
phir bhi socha jae
tera intizar kiya to
