گیتانجلی رائے

کیا ہر موت کے لئے ضروری ہوتی ہیں

رکی ہوئی سانسیں پتھرائی آنکھیں چار کندھے

اور گھر سے شمشان تک کی آخری دنیا داری

کبھی کبھی موت کی نشانی ہوتیں ہے

عمر سے زیادہ سمجھ داری والی باتیں

ہمیشہ ہنسنے والے چہرے

اور کبھی نا لڑنے والی محبتیں

kya har maut ke liye zaruri hoti hain
ruki hui sansen pathrai aankhen chaar kandhe
aur ghar se shamshan tak ki aaKHiri duniya-dari
kabhi kabhi maut ki nishani hotin hai
umr se zyaada samajhdari wali baaten
hamesha hansne wale chehre
aur kabhi na laDne wali mohabbaten
