بے چہرگیٔ عمر خجالت بھی بہت ہے
غضنفر ہاشمی
بے چہرگیٔ عمر خجالت بھی بہت ہے
اس دشت میں گرداب کی صورت بھی بہت ہے
آنکھیں جو لیے پھرتا ہوں اے خواب مسلسل
میرے لیے یہ کار اذیت بھی بہت ہے
تم زاد سفر اتنا اٹھاؤ گے کہاں تک
اسباب میں اک رنج مسافت بھی بہت ہے
دو سانس بھی ہو جائیں بہم حبس بدن میں
اے عمر رواں اتنی کرامت بھی بہت ہے
کچھ اجرت ہستی بھی نہیں اپنے مطابق
کچھ کار تنفس میں مشقت بھی بہت ہے
اب موت مجھے مار کے کیا دے گی غضنفرؔ
آنکھوں کو تو یہ عالم حیرت بھی بہت ہے

is dasht mein girdab ki surat bhi bahut hai
aankhen jo liye phirta hun ai KHwab musalsal
mere liye ye kar-e-aziyyat bhi bahut hai
tum zad-e-safar itna uThaoge kahan tak
asbab mein ek ranj-e-masafat bhi bahut hai
do sans bhi ho jaen baham habs-e-badan mein
ai umr-e-rawan itni karamat bhi bahut hai
kuchh ujrat-e-hasti bhi nahin apne mutabiq
kuchh kar-e-tanaffus mein mashaqqat bhi bahut hai
ab maut mujhe mar ke kya degi 'ghazanfar'
aankhon ko to ye aalam-e-hairat bhi bahut hai
