سواد شہر سے اغماض کرنا چاہتا ہوں

کہ میں اپنا سفر آغاز کرنا چاہتا ہوں

خجل ہوں گا متاع عشق پر شاید کسی دن

ابھی اس فیصلے پر ناز کرنا چاہتا ہوں

رگ جاں سے بھی جو نزدیک آتا جا رہا ہے

میں کیا سچ مچ اسے ہم راز کرنا چاہتا ہوں

الٹنا چاہتا ہوں آج ماضی کے ورق میں

کہ فردا کا دریچہ باز کرنا چاہتا ہوں

کسی کے سامنے رکھے ہوئے اک آئنے کو

میں اپنی روح کا غماز کرنا چاہتا ہوں

پرندوں کو ذرا سی دیر چپ رہنے کا کہہ کر

ہوا کو زمزمہ پرداز کرنا چاہتا ہوں

منانا چاہتا ہوں روٹھنے والوں کو ساجدؔ

مگر اک شخص کو ناراض کرنا چاہتا ہوں
