مگر کسی خواب کے سفر میں سپر کریں گے چراغ میرا

صباحت شمع و آئنہ سے ہوئی ہے میری نمود لیکن

ستارہ و آسماں سے باہر کہیں ملے گا سراغ میرا

تڑپ اٹھی ہے کسی نگر میں قیام کرنے سے روح میری

سلگ رہا ہے کسی مسافت کی بے کلی سے دماغ میرا

جراحت وصل نے کھلائے ہیں ظلمت شام میں ستارے

متاع ہجراں کی چاندنی سے بھرا ہوا ہے ایاغ میرا

لپٹ رہی ہے فصیل کی برجیوں سے اک شہر کی نگاہیں

اور ایک دیوار آئینہ پر جھکا ہوا ہے چراغ میرا

یہ کیسی سطح رواں پہ ساجدؔ دھری ہوئی ہے زمین میری

کہ جھومتا ہے کسی ستارے کے سانس لینے سے باغ میرا
