ٹھہر ٹھہر کے مرا انتظار کرتا چل

یہ سخت راہ بھی اب اختیار کرتا چل

سفر کی رات ہے ہر گام احتیاط برت

پلٹ پلٹ کے اندھیروں پہ وار کرتا چل

لیے جا کام تو اپنی فراخ دستی سے

قدم قدم پہ مجھے زیر بار کرتا چل

ادھر ادھر جو کھڑے ہو گئے ہیں تیرے لیے

انہیں بھی اپنے سفر میں شمار کرتا چل

کسی ٹھکانے پہ تجھ کو اگر پہنچنا ہے

تو نقش پا کا مرے اعتبار کرتا چل

نہ کھینچ دشت و جبل بحر و بر سے قدموں کو

یہ سب رکاوٹیں ہیں ان کو پار کرتا چل
