ہوا کے سینگ نہ پکڑو کھدیڑ دیتی ہے

زمیں سے پیڑوں کے ٹانکے ادھیڑ دیتی ہے

میں چپ کراتا ہوں ہر شب امڈتی بارش کو

مگر یہ روز گئی بات چھیڑ دیتی ہے

زمیں سا دوسرا کوئی سخی کہاں ہوگا

ذرا سا بیج اٹھا لے تو پیڑ دیتی ہے

رندھے گلے کی دعاؤں سے بھی نہیں کھلتا

در حیات جسے موت بھیڑ دیتی ہے
