عشق نے حسن کی بیداد پہ رونا چاہا

عشق نے حسن کی بیداد پہ رونا چاہا

تخم احساس وفا سنگ میں بونا چاہا

آنے والے کسی طوفان کا رونا رو کر

نا خدا نے مجھے ساحل پہ ڈبونا چاہا

سنگ دل کیوں نہ کہیں بت کدے والے مجھ کو

میں نے پتھر کا پرستار نہ ہونا چاہا

حضرت شیخ نہ سمجھے مرے دل کی قیمت

لے کے تسبیح کے رشتے میں پرونا چاہا

کوئی مذکور نہ تھا غیر کا لیکن تم نے

باتوں باتوں میں یہ نشتر بھی چبھونا چاہا

دیدۂ تر سے بھی سرزد ہوا اک جرم عظیم

حشر میں نامۂ اعمال کو دھونا چاہا

مرتے مرتے بھی توقع رہی دل داری کی

رکھ کے سر زانوئے تقدیر پہ سونا چاہا

ہائے کس درد سے کی ضبط کی تلقین مجھے

ہنس پڑے دوست جو میں نے کبھی رونا چاہا

جنس شہرت بہت ارزاں تھی مگر میں نے حفیظؔ

دولت درد کو بے کار نہ کھونا چاہا
