بدلتے موسموں کا ہے اثر کچھ

کہیں سائے میں رک کر کیا کریں گے

چلو اب تیز باقی ہے سفر کچھ

ہوائے تند کا یہ کام دیکھو

نہ چھوڑا شاخ پر باقی ثمر کچھ

بھٹکتے پھر رہے ہیں راستوں میں

بصارت سے تہی اہل نظر کچھ

اگرچہ شہر تو اپنا ہے لیکن

پرائے سے ہیں کیوں دیوار و در کچھ

ابھی دل میں اڑانوں کی ہے خواہش

سلامت ہیں ہمارے بال و پر کچھ

ابھی شاہدؔ لٹاؤ غم کی دولت

ابھی ہیں آنکھ میں لعل و گہر کچھ
