کسے ہم اپنا کہیں کوئی غم گسار نہیں
حسیب رہبر
کسے ہم اپنا کہیں کوئی غم گسار نہیں
ہمیں جب اپنے پرائے پہ اعتبار نہیں
ہم اپنے دور کی سچائیوں کو لکھتے ہیں
قلم ہمارا کسی کا تو مستعار نہیں
جو بے وفا تھے وہی لوگ پا گئے اعزاز
مری وفاؤں کا اب تک کہیں شمار نہیں
ہمارے سر پہ برس جائیں گے کہاں پتھر
تنک مزاجیٔ موسم کا اعتبار نہیں
دعائیں دے کے جو بچوں کو شہر بھیجیں گے
اب ایسے گاؤں میں کوئی بزرگوار نہیں
ہزار مفلس و نادار میں سہی رہبرؔ
خدا کا شکر کسی کا بھی قرض دار نہیں

hamein jab apne parae pe e'tibar nahin
hum apne daur ki sachchaiyon ko likhte hain
qalam hamara kisi ka to mustaar nahin
jo be-wafa the wahi log pa gae eazaz
meri wafaon ka ab tak kahin shumar nahin
hamare sar pe baras jaenge kahan patthar
tunak-mizaji-e-mausam ka e'tibar nahin
duaen de ke jo bachchon ko shahr bhejenge
ab aise ganw mein koi buzurgwar nahin
hazar muflis-o-nadar main sahi 'rahbar'
KHuda ka shukr kisi ka bhi qarz-dar nahin
