تمہیں اس شہر سے رخصت ہوئے

کتنا زمانہ ہو چکا پھر بھی

ابھی تک میرے کمرے میں

تمہارے جسم کی خوشبو کا ڈیرا ہے

بظاہر تو تمہارے بعد ابھی تک میں

بہت ہی مطمئن

اور شانت لگتا ہوں

مگر جب رات کے پچھلے پہر

کمرے میں آتا ہوں

تو جانے کیوں اچانک

میری آنکھوں میں

نمی سی تیرنے لگتی ہے

پلکیں بھیگ جاتی ہیں

اور اس لمحے

نہ جانے کیوں مجھے شک سا گزرتا ہے

عجب اک واہمہ سا

میرے دل میں سر اٹھاتا ہے

کہ اس ویران کمرے میں

کہیں دیوار گریہ تو نہیں رکھ دی کسی نے!
