ربط اسیروں کو ابھی اس گل تر سے کم ہے

ایک رخنہ سا ہے دیوار میں در سے کم ہے

حرف کی لو میں ادھر اور بڑھا دیتا ہوں

آپ بتلائیں تو یہ خواب جدھر سے کم ہے

ہاتھ دنیا کا بھی ہے دل کی خرابی میں بہت

پھر بھی اے دوست تری ایک نظر سے کم ہے

سوچ لو میں بھی ہوا چپ تو گراں گزرے گا

یہ اندھیرا جو مرے شور و شرر سے کم ہے

وہ بجھا جائے تو یہ دل کو جلا دے پھر سے

شام ہی کون سی راحت میں سحر سے کم ہے

خاک اتنی نہ اڑائیں تو ہمیں بھی بابرؔ

دشت اچھا ہے کہ ویرانی میں گھر سے کم ہے
